Henna art

A temporary art work just for you

Henna

Henna comes from the dried leaves of the henna plant. When mixed with natural ingredients such as tea tree oil, lemon juice and sugar, it forms a paste that is traditionally used to create temporary designs on the skin. These drawings fades gradually after several days to weeks, depending on factors such as water exposure and friction.

Use of Henna

  • Drying time: 20-30 minutes (depending on the weather).
  • Application: Leave the henna paste on the skin for at least 2 hours for optimal results. The longer it remains, the deeper the final colour will be.
  • Removal: The dried paste will fall off naturally. The design will appear orange at first and gradually darken to a rich brown within 24-48 hours.
  • Aftercare: Avoid water contact for the first hours (ideally up to 48 hours) to help the color develop fully.
  • Duration: The tattoo lasts an average of 1 - 2 weeks, depending on friction and exposure to water.
  • The henna I use is the natural, brown henna. It is safe for both children and adults and does not harm the skin.
